For whom is the advisory skills training appropriate?
Essentially for everyone. You have at least 5 years of experience in a role that requires advisory skills. That covers quite a few. It is crucial that you collaborate with others in your position.
You dare to reflect on yourself. We do not believe it becomes more enjoyable if you think there is not much left for you to learn.
You truly wish to advance. We are looking for dedication to your own learning.
You are not afraid of a challenge. It is acceptable for you to feel uncomfortable at times.
What you will learn
· You will convey your advice effectively as a trusted advisor;
· You will learn to systematically identify the question or task at hand;
· You will understand what is involved in implementing a solution throughout the process;
· You will learn to engage effectively with stakeholders;
· You will be provided with various tools to handle challenging situations.
You will guide your own learning process and decide where to focus.
Upcoming Programme (September - December 2025)
Initial Consultation (Commencing September)
A comprehensive personal intake to clearly define development goals. Additionally, you will receive books and other inspirational materials for the entire programme.
Day 1 (11 September)
You will attend a full day at our location. We will examine the role and responsibilities of an adviser, ownership of your own development, and introduce you to the accountability methodology.
Day 2 (7 October)
Once again, we have a full day on site. We will now explore how you can better understand your client and thoroughly analyse a problem. We will delve into building trust in the advisory relationship (Trusted Advisor - Maister).
Day 3 & 4 (6th and 7th November)
There are now two full days on-site including an overnight stay. On the first day, we will delve into the advisory process (approach & execution) and how to create successful teams. The following day, we will explore advising from a standpoint of vulnerability (Naked service model - Lencioni) and learn to recognise the dynamics in the context of assignments and how to intervene effectively.
Day 5 (2 December)
A full day dedicated to 'ACTION'! We will put into practice everything you have learned about consultancy skills. Afterwards, we will reflect and conclude with a celebratory ending.
